SPECIAL ISSUE IN SPRINGER'S JOURNAL

Special Issue: 20th Anniversary of 1999 Marmara Earthquakes

Mediterranean Geoscience Reviews, Springer Nature

This Special Issue on the “20th Anniversary of 1999 Marmara Earthquakes” aims to bring together international earth science community to share the experience gained in active tectonics following 1999 Mw 7.4 İzmit and Mw 7.2 Düzce earthquakes. A great number of research done after the 1999 Marmara Earthquakes contributed significantly to multi-disciplinary studies in active tectonics and were already published in several journals. Here, for the first time, we aim to gather high-quality original research and review papers from the works that will presented during the congress in a special issue of the Mediterranean Geoscience Reviews published by Springer Nature (https://www.springer.com/earth+sciences+and+geography/journal/42990).

Submitting authors should select the “20th Anniversary of 1999 Marmara Earthquakes” on the dropdown menu during the submission process. Manuscripts can be submitted on or before the deadline. All papers will be evaluated thoroughly through a single-blind peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (i. e. as soon as accepted) and will be listed directly one after the other on the special issue’s section at the journal’s website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submitting manuscripts are available on the journal’s “Instructions for Authors” page.
